About Shiroishi Warehouse
ABOUT SHIROISHI WAREHOUSE

Our company was founded in 1900 during a pivotal period in modern Japan, between the Sino-Japanese and Russo-Japanese Wars, when the nation was navigating complex international dynamics while steadily establishing its presence on the global stage.

Under Japan’s national policy of industrial development, the company was established as a government-designated warehouse facility with inspection functions, strategically located adjacent to Shiroishi Station on the Tohoku Main Line. Its primary role was to store key domestic commodities, including raw silk, major agricultural products such as rice, wheat, soybeans, and adzuki beans, as well as charcoal.

For more than 120 years since its founding, we have been engaged in logistics operations centered on warehousing, contributing to regional economic growth and social development. Through our long-standing operations, we have earned strong trust and recognition from government agencies and clients across a wide range of industries for our high-quality storage services and operational reliability.

Today, as we mark over 120 years of history in an increasingly globalized economy, we operate the largest network of logistics facilities in the region. Leveraging this extensive infrastructure, we have established a comprehensive logistics service system across Sendai, Miyagi, and the wider Tohoku area.

While further strengthening our locally optimized logistics capabilities, we continue to expand partnerships with global logistics companies. As a specialist in “glocal” logistics—integrating global and local strengths—we are committed to enhancing customer satisfaction and striving toward delivering true customer delight.

We look forward to continuing to create new value in logistics and to serving our customers with even greater excellence in the years ahead.
