Shiroishi Warehouse’s Strengths
SHIROISHI WAREHOUSE’S STRENGTHS

The Largest Network of Logistics Facilities
Discover the strength of Tohoku E-Soko’s logistics facility solutions, supported by the largest network of logistics facilities in Miyagi Prefecture.
We offer a wide range of strategically located sites tailored to diverse customer needs, including locations near Sendai Port and Sendai Airport; key industrial clusters in eastern Sendai; JR freight terminals and major route freight hubs; along National Route 4 bypass; and in close proximity to Murata and Shiroishi interchanges.
Our network also enables efficient coverage across Miyagi, Yamagata, and Iwate prefectures, with excellent access to central Sendai, agricultural production areas, and locations resilient to tsunami risk.

Largest Network of Temperature-Controlled & Dehumidified Warehouses in the Prefecture
We operate nine large-scale temperature-controlled and dehumidified warehouse facilities across Miyagi Prefecture.
Our advanced temperature management, ranging from 0°C to 15°C, represents one of the highest levels of performance in the region.

Warehouse and logistics real estate information: No.1 in volume
We aggregate information on vacant warehouses and cargo for commercial use, as well as information on vacant rental warehouses and prospective tenants for logistics real estate, and disseminate [Logistics Facility Information for the Tohoku Region].

Extensive Experience in Cargo Handling and Plant Equipment Delivery
Leveraging our equipment and facilities—such as various types of forklifts, 7-ton heavy-duty forklifts for oversized cargo, and spacious loading and unloading areas—we are fully equipped to handle heavy and complex items.
We also provide storage and transportation services for plant equipment, including domestically produced facilities and imported machinery, as well as equipment delivered from overseas to construction sites and factories across Japan.

Handling of Bagged Cargo
With a long history in grain storage since the Meiji era, we have extensive experience in handling a wide range of bagged cargo—including rice, soybeans, wheat, wheat flour, buckwheat flour, fertilizer, animal feed, synthetic resins, and food additives.
We are fully equipped to handle various types of bagged goods, such as paper bags, plastic bags, and flexible containers, supported by a wide range of cargo handling equipment.
For bulk grain storage, our affiliated company, Sendai Port Silo Co., Ltd., provides specialized storage services.

Daily Delivery Solutions from the Greater Tokyo Area to Tohoku
Since May 2017, we have operated a next-day delivery service from the Satte area in Saitama to retail stores throughout the Tohoku region.
We offer reliable daily distribution across all six Tohoku prefectures, including consumer goods, as well as flexible consolidated delivery solutions tailored to your needs.

Optimal Logistics Location Solutions in Miyagi (Largest Logistics Network in Miyagi Prefecture)
We propose optimal logistics locations across Miyagi Prefecture, supported by the largest network of logistics facilities in the region.
East of Sendai Station, we operate 10 facilities—including Oroshimachi, Ogimachi, Oroshimachi Higashi, and Sendai Port (including affiliated companies).
South of Sendai, we operate 8 facilities in Iwanuma, Ogawara, Zaō Town, and Shiroishi.
Through our strategically distributed network, we continue to meet diverse customer needs for optimal logistics locations.
Daily Delivery Service from the Greater Tokyo Area to Tohoku
We provide daily delivery of consumer goods to major retail stores across all six Tohoku prefectures.
Utilizing our own dedicated delivery routes—distinct from standard freight networks—we ensure timely and reliable deliveries to stores throughout the region.
We also offer consolidated delivery services for dry cargo shipments to Tohoku.
Plant Logistics Support for Factory Construction
We provide comprehensive plant logistics services associated with factory construction.
From the design and planning stage through to factory line start-up, we handle the import, storage, transportation, and on-site installation of manufacturing equipment, particularly for food production facilities.
Dehumidified Storage for Precision Equipment
We offer dehumidified storage solutions for precision equipment, including machinery prior to delivery and production line equipment temporarily removed from factory operations.
Our dehumidified warehouses are equipped to reduce risks such as corrosion and ensure safe storage conditions.
Agricultural Product Inspection Services
We provide inspection services to ensure the quality of agricultural products such as rice, wheat, and soybeans.
Our services include color sorting inspections using digital sorting equipment, as well as radiation testing using specialized measuring devices to determine the presence of contamination.
Through these capabilities, we support reliable inspection systems that help maintain product quality and safety.
RUF (Ultra-Long-Range Remote-Controlled Unmanned Forklift) – Toward Social Implementation
With the support of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), we are jointly developing RUF (Ultra-Long-Range Remote-Controlled Unmanned Forklift) systems.
This technology enables forklift operators to remotely control cargo handling operations from distances exceeding 1,000 km.
We are actively working toward the practical implementation of this technology in society, aiming to improve working environments and drive innovation in logistics operations.

Research and Development of Disaster-Resilient Storage Solutions
(Development of BOX-Type Flexible Containers and Packaging Improvements)
Based on our experience during the Great East Japan Earthquake—including damage and cargo collapse recovery operations—we initiated a research project in July 2013 focused on developing disaster-resilient packaging solutions.
Through joint development with Zen-Noh Miyagi, Nittsu Shoji Co., Ltd., and Shiroishi Soko, we successfully commercialized a new BOX-type flexible container designed to reduce cargo collapse.
Nittsu Shoji obtained a utility model for this product, and it was launched in 2015. This development contributed to the wider adoption of cube-type flexible containers in the agricultural logistics industry, marking a significant step forward in cargo packaging innovation.
We continue to improve this product while also collaborating with the Graduate School of Engineering at Tohoku University on seismic performance evaluation. In addition, we are working on improving and redesigning paper packaging for domestically produced soybeans, which have traditionally faced challenges due to unstable packaging structures.
Establishment of Disaster Communication Networks and Mutual Support Systems
Drawing on our experience during the Great East Japan Earthquake—including securing supplies for business continuity, cargo recovery operations, and reconstruction efforts—we have strengthened mutual support systems with partner warehousing companies that provided both material and operational assistance.
We have established a framework that enables immediate reciprocal support in the event of disasters in other regions.
Warehousing companies across Japan are connected through a disaster communication network, enabling coordinated responses even in the immediate aftermath of a disaster.
This collaborative system supports the maintenance of logistics functions, rapid recovery, and the timely resumption of operations.
Continuous Efforts to Improve Storage Quality
Since our 100th anniversary in 2000, we have continuously worked to enhance the quality of our warehousing operations.
Rather than relying on the conventional standard of maintaining temperatures below 15°C in temperature-controlled warehouses, we have independently upgraded our facility specifications to enable standard storage at temperatures below 10°C.
In addition, we continue to improve storage quality across a wide range of facilities, including refrigerated warehouses, climate-controlled warehouses, dehumidified warehouses, quarantine fumigation warehouses, and trunk room services.
